Hello guest
Your basket is empty
It will be fascinating to see what London Bridal Fashion Week and White Gallery will be showcasing this Spring. Read on to find out what the trends are predicted to be...
I'm pleased to say that embellishment, including floral appliques, are hot, hot, hot. If you came to the recent wedding show at Chelsea Old Town Hall you will recognise the bridal gown I was showcasing (shown with 'Elowen' flower girl dress). This stylish one-shoulder dress featured a gorgeous floral applique by Platinum Bridal Fabrics
Continuing to be on trend are luxurious laces, illusion details and opulent beading. Brides are spoiled for choice. Conversely we are going to see more pared back, unadorned styles, ultra slinky and feminine. Megan Markle started that trend and what could be better than aligning one's self with royalty........
Chic, figure hugging styles are set to wow. These are great for many figure types and larger brides should strongly consider one of these to set off their beautiful curves. However the ballgown and princess style gowns (think Gwyneth Paltrow's pink Oscar dress) are not going away
Unstructured gowns are making their mark. These boho gowns are usually soft and floaty and made in light-weight fabrics. These are ultra dreamy and perfect for destination weddings on far-flung soft white sand beaches where warm, turquoise waters lap gently at your feet.... heaven on earth
Necklines are taking the plunge for those who are brave enough to dare to bare and strapless is an enduring theme. It's great for those with a broader shoulder. Conversely, high necks are making a come-back, sometimes with long sleeves. The former 'Quantico' star Priyanka Chopra and 'This is Us' star Mandy Moore wowed in high neck dresses for their weddings in 2018
Whatever you decide, why restrict yourself to what you might find in a bridal shop or even have the same as everyone else at all? A bespoke bridal gown from Lychgate is exclusive. It combines the best in bridal fabrics with creative finesse to produce the dress of any bride's dreams
